Cora’s rescue was very touching and I just wanted you to know how much of a blessing it was for me. My family rescued a border collie mix that had been abandoned in town. She was drinking rain water in the puddles and eating scraps that people would throw to her BUT, unlike Cora, thankfully, this pup came right to me! I got down on my knees and she came right to me! She was wet and cold and filthy and she had an open wound on her foot! Now she is a very spoiled member of our family and HONESTLY, she is one of the smartest dogs I have ever owned! We named her Mollee and she is beautiful. I truly don’t understand how people can do this because we GET so many dogs and cats dropped off on us in the night because people know we love animals AND if we cannot keep them, we take them to our local “NO KILL” shelter and they find them a good home! I can’t imagine anything like Cora’s situation! It is so sad! GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
Thank you so much for sharing your rescue story! We need the whole world to get the message… ‘Don’t Buy While Shelter Animals Die.’
All of the dogs that have ever been in our family have been rescue dogs. I do not understand how people can do that to innocent dogs like Cora. I have a Chihuahua and a cat here at home. I am interested in adopting Cora…how do I get more info on where she is and how to go about adopting her?
Hi Cynthia!
Cora is available for adoption to CA residents through ICARE Dog Rescue. You can email them at: rescue@icaredogrescue.org for more information!
Thank you for adopting rescue dogs only! ♥
I have spent my entire adult life rescuing dogs. I just cant turn my head when an animal is suffering, cold, hungry, scared. I have rescued, nurished, and adopted out to good homes all of the dogs we have rescued except for the two who were in the most dire of situations when we rescued them, which we still have today. ( 8 years later ) We are military and see a lot of sad stories because people move and leave their dogs behind. I just want to say God bless all of you who spend so much time, effort and heartache in saving our 4 legged friends!
And thank YOU for all the lives you save!
We would like to know if Cora is going to be available for adoption. If so, we are very interested. We think she would love our home and 2 other small dogs (both girls, one rescue and one a gift from a friend).
Hello Diane!
A home has not been selected for Cora or any of the pups yet…but ICARE is taking applications for all 4 now. If you live in Southern California, please contact her rescue at: rescue@icaredogrescue.org for an adoption application for Cora. Good luck! ♥
